The Union of Concerned Scientists has circulated a World Scientists' Call for Action at the Kyoto Climate Summit, which urges all governments to act immediately to prevent the potentially deadly consequences of human-induced global warming. As of Oct. 14, 1997, there were over 1500 signatures of leading scientists from 63 countries, including 104 Nobel laureates.
