A Guide to Information on Greenhouse Gases and Ozone Depletion
Published July 1988 through June 1999

Item #d97jul79

New policy forum on the Internet: Resources for the Future has launched a twice-monthly forum on the World Wide Web devoted to climate change policy, including feature articles and commentary from policymakers and opinion leaders intended to represent all points of view. See this month's (July 1997) GCC Online column for details.

Item #d97jul80

UV-B and the ozone standard: A preliminary study from the U.S. Office of Management and Budget suggests that attempts to lower concentrations of low-level ozone may incur as much expense in health effects related to increased UV-B, as is avoided by lowering the incidence of respiratory disease. (See Lutter paper, PROF. PUBS./OZONE DEPLETION/IMPACTS OF UV, this Global Climate Change Digest issue--July 1997.)
