Published July 1988 through June 1999

Item #d94jan116

The Climate-Wise Program, one component of the Clinton administration's National Action Plan, released last fall (GCCD, Nov 1993), is described in a recent Federal Register notice (p. 63574, Dec. 2). Public workshops were held in December to develop details of the campaign, intended to promote voluntary reductions in greenhouse gas emissions in all sectors of the U.S. economy through technical assistance and public recognition. A Climate-Wise Options Identification Document is available from Gerald Kotas, Off. Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EE-1), U.S. Dept. Energy, 1000 Independence Ave. SW, Washington DC 20585 (202-586-9220).
